The event includes a road tour through the region of South Tyrol and Trentino, concluding with a display of the participating vehicles for the public.”
The idea to participate on this event started during a late-night video call about our future ARMAN Coupé project. Milan, one of our teammates, came across a flyer for ECM 2025—the European Cobra Meeting. The deadline had already passed, but thanks to the kindness of organizer Achim, we still managed to register our prototype, the ARMAN R427.
Then came the big question: trailer or road trip? Playing it safe on a trailer would have been easy, but we wanted to prove our car’s reliability. So, on May 21, we hit the road, heading into the unknown.
Thirteen hours later, after crossing the Brenner Pass, we rolled into Eppan, ready to join more than 100 Cobras, Daytonas, GT40s, and other classics from across Europe.
ECM 2025 was more than just an event—it was a community of people sharing knowledge, stories, and passion. Exhibition drives took us through breathtaking Alpine passes, with roofless Cobras winding between three-meter-high snow walls and climbing to 2,509 meters at the Timmelsjoch Pass. Some tunnels were icy, some roads had no guardrails—pure adrenaline.
Off the road, we enjoyed wine tastings in the homeland of Traminer, a visit to a motorcycle museum, and countless conversations with fellow enthusiasts. Meeting the owners of a Daytona Coupé and a GT40 gave us valuable insights for our own upcoming builds.
Of course, no adventure comes without challenges. At one point, a sudden downpour jammed our wipers on a highway in the Alps. On our very first exhibition drive, a narrow mountain track turned into a rocky climb before opening up onto a hidden meadow—large enough for 100 Cobras and even a restaurant overlooking Lake Garda.
In the end, ECM 2025 gave us far more than we expected: unforgettable drives, new friendships, and the confidence that our ARMAN R427 is ready for any road ahead.
